In 1930, Ann Borodell Denison Gates ("Aunt Annie") established the Denison Society and charged its members with the stewardship of
the manor house and its contents and lands. We currently have 930 memberships encompassing 1,170 individuals spread world wide. Mission StatementThe mission of the Denison Society, Inc. shall be to study and preserve all aspects of the family’s history and property and to
educate our members, family and friends as well as the general public by means of publications, special programs, guided tours of the property
and any other means available to us with regard to the history and historical significance of the Denison Family in Stonington, Connecticut and
throughout the world. (Adopted at the October 19, 1998 meeting of the Board of Trustees.) Board of Trustees
